Inventory description: Three leatherbound manuscript notebooks of Capt Henry Hay, 1st Bombay Lancers, 1885-1887; the 1st Bombay Lancers were sent to Upper Burma where they served with the 3rd Bde in September 1886; they returned to India in March 1888; associated with the 3rd Burma War (1885-1887).
