Description
Travelling inkwell, 1815 (c). Made from gilt brass, pewter and glass. Patented Perryian Filter Inkstand manufactured by James Perry and Company, London. Used by Capt (later Lt Col) William Tyrwhitt-Drake, Royal Regiment of Horse Guards on active service during the Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815).
