Description
Horse’s hoof inkwell, once belonging to Captain William Tyrwhitt-Drake, Royal Horse Guards, 1829 (c). Brass fitting hinged to the hoof, made by Farrier Thomas Lee, Royal Horse Guards, 1815 (c). Imprinted on top with maker’s name and inscribed ‘And Presented to/ Wm T Drake, late Lt Col/ in Token of Respect/ April 1829'.
