Officers’ helmet crest, Royal Regiment of Horse Guards, said to have been worn by Capt (later Lt Col) William Tyrwhitt-Drake at the Battle of Waterloo, 1815 (c). Red silk and black worsted, with red cotton tie strap. Associated with Battle of Waterloo (1815), Napoleonic Wars, Waterloo (1815).
