Beret, worn by Col Andrew Jeffrey Pinion, Royal Artillery 1957 (c)-1991 (c). Made by Kangol Wear Limited, 1962 (c) Blue felted knitted wool cloth body. Black corded silk like ribbon brow band. Width: 0.5 in. Black cotton evenweave lining. Brass badge. Front, die struck: a gun surmounted by a monarchial crown resting on a scroll bearing the motto, ‘UBIQUE’. Below all is a scroll bearing the motto, ‘QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT’ (Where Right And Glory Lead). On reverse, split pin fittings to east and west. Also on reverse a brass plate.
